Being a textile designer/fashion major in Raleigh, NC, it is exciting for me to have an independent clothing business in my town and home state that creates everything they make right here. I love that they are starting to work with leather goods as well.
Using Cone Mills White Oak Chambray, the jeans were individually hand dipped in an Indigo bath. The result is a deeply rich colour that juxtaposes the light- ness of the Chambray. A modest run of 25 pairs, the Chambray Hand-dipped Indigo is a straight fit, landing exclusively at Barneys N.Y this November.
“This chambray has a wonderful texture that allows the indigo to show up in a variety of depths. We used a 100% natural indigo dye, each pair has been individually hand dipped in an indigo bath. This project showcases the various depths of indigo and the beauty of the tonal range.”
